Stephen A. Martin is a decorated Vietnam Veteran and lifelong Californian, and he is pleased to present his third novel, an epic saga spanning the 20th Century: “The Road Beyond Sorrow.” A Historical Fiction Novel of Loss, Love, and Legacy. Stephen has enjoyed a distinguished business career while balancing raising a family. He has enjoyed writing short stories, poetry, and novels for most of his adult life.

The inspiration to write this novel began years ago with a discussion at the Long Beach, California, VA Hospital with a group of ancient souls who proudly served our country during World War II. After witnessing this group’s zest for life, exciting ideas began to form and culminated in this manuscript.

Stephen enjoys traveling to Rhode Island and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He is proud of his two children and his six grandchildren. His first two novels, “From Crimson to Black” and “Three Thousand Mile Smile,” are also available wherever books are sold. He is currently busy writing a four book thriller series and hopes to have them in print within the next year.
